  • Both sponsons and underfloor are fully foamed filled. The whole internal area of the boat is lined with marine aluminium.  There are structural aluminium trusses and a range of cross beams inside the sponsons which are also fully encapsulated with foam making the Quantum Cat 600 unsinkable.

    The benefits of keeping the total rig weighing less than two ton, allows for smaller vehicle to be a used for towing the boat and trailer with ease.  Additionally a single axle gives much more manoeuvrability while moving the trailer around in confined spaces. Anyone who has experienced towing and manoeuvring a dual axle trailer will know the difference.

    The fly by wire 140 Suzuki engines is one of the most economical engines on the market. We expect the speed to be into the 30kts range and have great fuel economy. Raising the horsepower beyond that of the designed 140hp or 200kg will affect the towing weight of under two ton with both 75L fuel tanks full.

    The QCat 600 is very roomy. There is a sizable cross bunk forward which can allow two people to sleep aboard.  The side console version can also have a small compartment for a portable toilet.
